Cream Cracker Eating

It remains a benchmark of record-breaking prowess – how quickly can you YOU eat three Jacob's Cream Crackers? And on October 29, 2002, at the London offices of Guinness World Records, UK sports agent Ambrose Mendy smashed the existing record by more than 30 seconds, chowing down on three crackers in just 49.15 seconds.

"Everyone can do something well," said Ambrose, summing up the Guinness World Records philosophy. "It's all about concentration and telling your mouth to have saliva in it; then it's just bite and swallow, bite and swallow."

Coin Spinning

The longest time a coin has been spun until coming to a complete rest is 19.37 seconds. It was accomplished by Britain's Scott Day at Earl's Court, London, UK, as part of BBC TV's Tomorrow's World roadshow. The record was first set in April 2004 with a spin of 16.7 seconds by Scotland's Sean Farrell at the Edinburgh Science Festival.

WANNA BREAK THIS RECORD?

Here's what you need to know if you want to have a spin at the record:

1. The coin should be spun on a smooth, flat surface measuring a maximum of 1 x 1 m (3 x 3 ft) which should be dry.

2. The coins to be used are 10p coins in Great Britain, 25¢ coins in the United States and, in other countries, coins weighing at least 0.21 oz or 6 g and having a maximum diameter of 2.5 cm or 1 in.

3. Any coin used must have a grooved edge and be offered for inspection to make sure it has not been tampered with.

4. The time starts when the coin starts spinning and stops when the coin comes to a complete rest.

5. An official timekeeper should be present thoughout the attempt.

6. Each participant is only allowed three attempts.

It has been widely reported that the Queen of technocantopop Sammi Cheng, the idol with the most ah lian and ah beng supporters around the world has passed away due to depression and persistant illness...

However channel u news has reported that her company personnals have said she is all well and fine and is nw on vacation and will be back to work by the end of this month..

While filming in Shanghai, she was rumored to have locked herself up in a room for a week. According to close friends, Sammi's biggest worries haven't been her career or her love life, but herself. Friends who've tried to talk to Sammi have been turned away. The superstar hasn't shown up at her friends' gatherings either. ORIENTAL DAILY NEWS - Taiwanese songstress Tsai Chin has endured a series of health problems in the past, including breast cancer and a brain tumor and successfully beat each illness. Now we learned that Tsai was rediagnosed with a recurring eye problem from 5 years ago that may leave the singer blind.

Two nights ago, Tsai performed on Shanghai's CCTV. Unable to see her audience clearly, she told them while singing her hit "Your Gaze", "Even though I can't see clearly with my eyes, I want you all to see my gaze." Tsai's retina was detached 5 years ago and is in danger of losing her eyesight.

Tsai flew to Shanghai for the show while sick and under stress, and was admitted to the hospital before her performance. The doctor advised her to bar from wearing contact lenses to prevent the situation from getting worse.

After a few days of doing nothing and nothing and absolutely nothing i finally did something worthwhile these 2 days... I went to an interview regarding a IT product sales position and went all the way to bt. batok for it and i am quite confident the person chosen would not be me coz i ain't a sales person and i noe nuts about IT products...

Today woke up a bit late and in the end have to take a cab down to holiday inn area for another interview this time with a events company in a events co'ordinator role and i ended up toking a middle-age man wif a mustouche when the advert stated that i am told to look for 'miss' lim and well the guy seriously didn't look to be in a good mood...

He spent the whole 5 or 10 minutes pulling a long face toking into the documents i gave him and drop this million dollar question "What makes you think you are worth $1500 as stated on the application" and of coz i gave him a million dollar answer and after that the interview was over in a flash...

Since he didn't wanna look at me when i was toking i scaned his table and saw a stack of applications and there are a few more days before the whole interview ends and if he goes through all these just to find 1 person for the job i guess all he wants is someone who is available for a cheaper price...

After that i headed for lunch @ orchard before going down to BQ for some BBQ erm i meant interview... This time it is a advertising firm involved some advertising stuff...Anyway i tot it would be another of those sales related jobs and when i reached the office instead of the traditional glass door the entrance was a traditional wooden door which is similar to the door to my room...

I went in and filled in the application form and met the person i was supposed to meet and it even looks like he was the only person in the office and ya he told me the company is expending and this is actually a new office that their HQ are setting up... The interview was more like a conducted in a very casual manner and at the end of it instead of the usual go home n wait for fone call i was asked to go for an orientation tmr and after that if the 'Trainer" finds that i have the potiential then they will conduct a second interview...

I have never heard of ppl attending orientation before being hired and i was having 2nd thoughts about goin there tmr but heck care lah since i'm free and have to time to kill might as well go n check it out and i'm sure i won't be the only person there...

END OF AN ERA....

Well for those who don't know i'm officially out of job again since i have completed my temp contract and of coz its back to the jobhunt again... Well the ah neh aka my supervisor wanted me to stay and even ask me to pass the approved documents to HR to extend my stay... Well he didn't realised that i have already told the manager( his boss) in an earlier disscussion that i do not intend to stay longer then the duration of the contract...

After the documents were approved, the manager came and tok to me thinking i had changed my mind and was staying but i told him i do not wanna stay and the ah neh went ahead and made the request despite me telling him that i wasn't staying... Well after that the ah neh went inside the manager's office....

When he came out, he came and toked to me and told me that he had ass-u-me that i wanted to stay and tot that i was only joking wif him when i had told him i will not be continuing when the contract is up and i wanna go n find another job And i believe thats the reason he gave the manager too... Well i do not know anyone who would joke about such things if anyone of u noes one pls recomend the person to the ah neh...

I actually had the chance to stay there as a perm as there was a collegue who was moving on to greener pasture and she had actually asked me if i wanted to take over her position but of coz i didn't accept it coz it wasn't wad i wanted in the long run and basically the wages there sucks...

The ah neh even went on and say that he wouldn't advise me to convert to perm even if there's an opportunity quite strange considering he had wanted me to stay and help out in a temp position and of coz 2 days ago the company retrenched quite a few people as it is still in the restructuring process after thier merger didn't really sway me from my desire to leave... Today's the last day of work and the company is part of the organisation that is lobbying for a rise in the price of public transportation...

A new temp staff will be taking over me from tmr and good luck to him...hmm thats all for now
